HI,

I am new to this site, happy to read all of your insight,life stories makes me feel not so alone. I started to gamble when I felt no one husband,kids cared about me. I would spend much of my time alone after work,took days off to spend with my family but then they would not be available. When I was at home alone no one cared until I would not come home from work instead I would go gambling..slots only. Then they would call me and wondered where I was..feeling sorry for myself I now have decided to get a life... I do not have to have them but isn't it sad to feel that you are only valued for being the meal ticket..this was 5 years ago..now, since then my mother passed away..I was very close to her took care of her & miss her, one of my daughters ran away and this broke my heart yes... she has returned .Now, I am in financial bind, I make very good money as a Registered Nurse even work OT but now have nothing to show for it. I feel humiliated, disappointed that I did this. Now, I want to not gamble and take responsibility to improve the quality of my life and be responsible for my own happiness. That's it for now. Just one thing...where do I start to correct this financial stress..I need some relief

I've been where you are on several occassions. If you take things 24 hours at a time, things will slowly improve. Before you know it, you'll be your old happy self again. Just gotta keep a positive frame of mind.

At least you have a good job and a family. Most people don't even have those things. Keep being a strong person and God Bless You.
