How to lose two decades of hard work in one year? Just gamble it away.

Terrance Watanabe has reportedly lost $127 million (Yes, $127 MILLION!) in Las Vegas casinos in one year. It is believed to be the longest losing streak in Las Vegas history.

What makes this intriguing?

He is being charged with intent to defraud and steal from Harrah's. He lost $127 million but so far has only paid $112 million and refuses to pay the remaining. If convicted Mr. Watanabe could face up to 28 years in prison. However, there's a twist.

"In a civil suit filed in Clark County District Court last month, Mr. Watanabe, 52 years old, says casino staff routinely plied him with liquor and pain medication as part of a systematic plan to keep him gambling."

Only by gambling can people lose so much in so little time. All that hard work over 20 years of building the family's party-favor import business is going down the drain.
