One thing that made a lot of sense to me in my Gamblers Anonymous meeting was the concept of goals.

When your main goal in life is to win then how can you possibly except anyhing else to happen other than gambling and trying to win?

Think about it. Was or is your main goal even non-planned and non conciously thought about to win money? Honestly I think that was my main goal. Thats what I think about. You become what you think about. Think about gambling and winning money then that becomes goal in life. And with the odds stacked against us its only an illusion.

My goal was to be invisible, to zone out, to not feel.....winning just fed my addiciton. In the end winning didn't really give me a rush it just told me I could play longer. For me it was all about getting lost and not having to think about anything.

My goal was to enjoy myself from the daily ground hog day i would have, baby, clean, husband, house, baby, clean, husband house.....

ARGHHHHH

Now...I appreciate...baby, clean, husband, house.., theres something very comforting and calming about being normal......
