The Promises

Try the GA Program for 90 days . . . if you don’t like it you can always return to your misery.

If you stay with it- keep coming to meetings and really learn to work the program, you are going to know a new freedom and a new happiness.

You will not regret the past nor wish to shut the door on it.

You will comprehend the word serenity and you will know peace.

No matter how far down the scale you have gone, you will see how your experience can benefit others.

That feeling of uselessness and self-pity will disappear.

You will lose interest in selfish things and gain interest in your fellows.

Self-seeking will slip away.

Your attitude and outlook upon life will change.

Fear of people and of economic insecurity will leave you.

You will intuitively know how to handle situations which use to baffle you.

You will suddenly realize that your Higher Power is doing for you what you could not do for yourself.

Are these extravagant promises? WE THINK NOT! They are being fulfilled among us- sometimes quickly, sometimes slowly. They will always materialize if we work for them.

One thing I don't like about

One thing I don't like about Gamblers Anonymous is the god aspect. IMO, there is no god. We're responsible for our own behavior.
